About Milagres
PU College
Milagres college is the result of the vision of Very Rev. Monsignor Denis Jerome D’Souza, an 83-year-old leader who wanted to make higher education accessible to rural students in Kallianpur. His dream was to ensure that “boys and girls working in the fields could come to college straight from there.”
This dream came true in 1967 with the help of the parishioners of Milagres Church. The Catholic Board of Education of the Diocese of Mangalore founded the college to provide quality education to students in the Udupi region. Late Dr. P. G. Bhat, a respected historian, was the first Principal and played a key role in shaping the college.
Today, the college is managed by the Catholic Educational Society of Udupi (CESU), with the Bishop of Udupi Diocese as its President. It continues to provide excellent education and opportunities for students from rural backgrounds.
Milagres PUC provides the platform with the right ambience and dedicated teachers to enhance one’s skills and abilities. Milagres PUC is training the students for future shaping competitive exams like NEET/JEE/KCET. The college provides exposure to CLAT/CA and Banking foundation etc.
Goals
To create conditions in which less fortunate rural students are encouraged to join college and professional education.

To maintain excellent educational environment by equipping the students with up-to-date domain knowledge, analytical and practical skills, critical and creative thinking, creative and innovative approach to work, experiential learning, and case study analysis.
To promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches in planning and designing curriculum across various departments.
To nurture self-reliance through development of entrepreneurship and initiating start-up culture among students.
To practice and promote an eco-system to nurture ethical, human and spiritual values.
