JEE (Joint Entrance Examination)

JEE is a national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E./B.Tech) across various reputed institutions in India, including IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), and other engineering colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Exam Structure

JEE is conducted in two phases:

JEE Main:

Subjects CoveredPhysics, Chemistry, Mathematics.

Mode:  Computer-based test (CBT).

Duration 3 hours.

Number of Questions:  90 questions (30 from each subject).

Type of Questions:  Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Value-based Questions.

JEE Advanced:

After qualifying JEE Main, students can appear for JEE Advanced if they wish to join IITs.

The exam pattern of JEE Advanced may vary each year but generally includes two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) with questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
